Various stories, tales and myths has been long told about happiness. It is precepted as something you can find if you search for it. Since ancient times, stone with the hole in Lithuania and many other countries was considered as a symbol of good luck. Hard, viscous, murky substance – stone vs soil – in many cultures and religions has different
magical meanings and qualities, which need to be figured out, recognized by opening the secret curtain. Hole in the stone is an expression of personal efforts, searches and gained happiness. Installation “Ode to the shore or a few insights for those who are looking for happiness” is an existential contemplation of searches for happiness, glorifying anthem for the Shore, written with “lucky” stones by those, who stayed and recognized
their land. The land where they decided to be happy.
